My First Sale!!!!!
Well, It's been over a month now and though I've been keeping busy making little side projects for friends, I hadn't had a sale yet and I was kind of starting to get discouraged. But I finally bot my brake! I was reading a post by someone asking about "Mohawk" style hats, I chimed in and ended up making the hat for her son!!!
I was excited about finally getting my first customer!!!!! And I'm pretty happy with the final product. A camo and orange mohawk hat to match his camo and orange winter jacket.

In A Nutshell-unique handcrafted textiles is Now Open!!
Thanks to the support and encouragement of many friends I have decided to embark on this exciting journey of having a small online business. I have been knitting since I was 14 years old and have just recently added crocheting to the list of crafty things I do. Just from posting pictures of finished projects on Facebook I've gotten so many requests from friends to make items for them and their children. After about a year of people strongly suggesting I sell online and asking to purchase things from me, I finally gave in and set up a Facebook page for my business, In A Nutshell -unique handcrafted textiles. I want to try to establish a successful customer base before I get into more serious selling websites like Etsy.
My Facebook photo albums are still a bit small right now, but I'm constantly working on new projects to expand those albums! I'm currently working on feather and fabric hair clips, baby items such as: leg warmers, "cocoons," booties, hats, blankets, etc., and I'm coming up with some new unique patterns for "Tutu Dresses" and "Tooth Buddies," very excited about the cool pattern that has come out of the latter!
